Day 5 Hudson Highlights & Suggestions for a Rainy Day in RIver Falls

Who better to Crawl with on Tuesday in Hudson than Vicky Kolasinski, a native River Falls resident who had a thriving therapy practice in Hudson for many years. Vicky is famous for her unique and chic sense of style. We worked up an appetite visiting her favorite boutiques and shops along Second Street, and stopped at Main Plate for lunch.

Vicky ordered the quesadilla and I had the avocado toast with Goat cheese and bacon, with poached eggs. Fabulous food and great conversation – and their coffee is exceptional. We moved down the block to the Seasons Gallery where we were greeted by shop dog, Lettie.

It was great to see artist friend, Amy Rice’s work and we were inspired by the lovely show, Prideful ornaments and selection of gifts and art.

Next on the Crawl was a visit to the Schoen Valley Orchard to pick honeyberries for a potluck at the Phipps Center for the Arts in the evening. Gerry gave me some of his famous “Honeyberry Gravy” as a topping for the Madagascar Vanilla gelato from Whole Earth Coop. The sundaes were a big hit with the addition of some fresh honeyberries on top!
