What is the Queer Crawl? The Queer Crawl is a self-directed Pride event during the third week of June that unites the Saint Croix Valley in celebration of Pride. Although it is a riff on the popular “beer crawls,” the Queer Crawl is for everybody. Stretching from Hastings to Franconia on the Minnesota side, and River Falls to St. Croix Falls in Wisconsin, the Queer Crawl brings together all of the LGBTQ+ events and supportive businesses and organizations Queer Crawlers can pick up a FREE button that allows them to take advantage of offers at businesses and directs them to this website for details.
Who is behind the Queer Crawl? We are a very small group of volunteers who make this happen, but we have earned the support of organizations such as the River Falls Chamber of Commerce, the Washington County Libraries and the League of Women Voters, to name just a few. We have over 110 businesses and organizations for 2026.
What does it cost to participate? The Queer Crawl is FREE for both the businesses/organizations who participate and the for the people who go on the Queer Crawl. Businesses are invited to create special offers and discounts, but this is not a requirement to participate.
What is the point of the Queer Crawl? The purpose of this event is to celebrate Pride and provide you with a guide to businesses that welcome people who are LGBTQ+ and their allies. Quite simply, people want to know that they are welcome and are doing business with those who are supportive of them. It’s been a very challenging time for many vulnerable groups, and the Queer Crawl allows businesses to raise their hand to say “you are welcome here!”
How do I join? There is no requirement to register or pay any fee. We encourage people to pick up a button, but you can just start Crawling!
