Welcome to the Queer Crawl 2026!

Welcome to Day 6 of the Queer Crawl!

OMG, who could have predicted Day 5 in River Falls? Miserable, cold and rainy, I met friend Julie for coffee at Waystone and ran into Grace, the owner, and friend Alicia. We were delighted by the installation of a young local artist, Crius Paulus, who is generously giving away their beautiful jewelry creations for Pride!

Before you know it, it was noon and I was behind on my Crawling.

First stop was Fox Den Books and Heather was in the teensy, weensiest little bit of “a mood.” It’s a crazy time of year with trade shows and I think she was feeling bad that her Pride section was not what she wanted it to be yet. As she started shifting and lifting and transforming whole sections of the store before my eyes, I chatted with Katie who had just received an EXCITING shipment.

If you are a follower of Fox Den on Facebook, you might have heard about the infamous April Fools Day post:

A funny thing happens when brilliant and wickedly funny people pull pranks – people fall for them. And boy did they fall!! Customers were coming in the get their “Rob” calendars because – unbeknownst to me – Rob is a legendary figure in our small town. As the amiable and ever-helpful UPS delivery professional, he brings the magic brown boxes that are the lifeblood of our community. I happened to be there just in time to be the FIRST PERSON to buy an autographed Rob Calendar! Queer Crawl Magic!

By the time I left the store, a plan had hatched… Presenting: “Rob The Calendar”
