For over 20 years, I served as an Army Reserve combat engineer, designing bridges around the world and eventually retiring as a Sergeant Major. In my civilian life, I spent decades as a technologist — most recently as a principal solutions architect innovating for universities and governments.

What started as a pandemic hobby quickly became an obsession with flavor, precision, and the art of turning chocolate into joy. Inspired by St. Croix Chocolate founder Robyn Dochterman, I went all in — experimenting in my kitchen under a cottage license, then moving to commercial kitchens, launching the Minnesota Chocolate Lab, crafting small-batch collections, and even teaching at Cooks of Crocus Hill.

Now, my chocolates walk the line between precision and play — polished pieces with a touch of mischief.
