Come on down for an old-time bluegrass jam session at Gammelgården Museum from 2-4 p.m. on four Sundays – June 22, July 27, August 24, and September 28!
Bring your banjo, fiddle, guitar, cello, dulcimer, harmonica, mandolin, ukulele, or bass, and learn new tunes! Play along, or just relax and listen in a welcoming atmosphere.
There are experienced and new musicians, and people of all ages.

Jam Etiquette
- Be polite, welcoming, and friendly.
- Be kind to beginners and new jammers – it takes courage to join in and play along!
- Put your instrument cases off to the side and out of the way.
- Please minimize noodling around between tunes.
- Step out of the circle to tune your instrument or chat with someone.
Museum hours are from 10:00 – 4:00 with free tours at 1:00 and 2:30 p.m. The tours are of the historic buildings at the museum and are led by tour guides. Afterwards, visitors are encouraged to look at the exhibits and displays in the Welcome House; read books in our resource library; play board or card games that are in in Board & Card Game Library; and/or shop in the gift shop.
